🌵 Cactus Pruning Toy – Magnetic Fine Motor & Scissor Skills Activity Set
The Cactus Pruning Toy is intentionally designed to help children practice using both hands together (bilateral coordination).
One hand stabilizes the cactus piece closest to the bud, while the other hand uses the tongs to remove the colorful bud.
• Build & Create With Magnetic Pieces: Children can design their cactus any way they’d like! Each branch connects magnetically, allowing endless open-play building, creativity, and problem-solving before the pruning even begins.
• Develop Scissor Skills Through Play: Kids use the included safe pruning scissors to “snip” off colorful cactus buds one at a time — a fun, hands-on way to strengthen cutting control and hand dexterity.
• Color Sorting Made Fun: Buds come in red, yellow, and blue. Children prune, collect, and sort them into matching bowls, supporting color recognition, visual scanning, and early math concepts.
• Strengthens Bilateral Coordination: Kids must hold the cactus steady with one hand while pruning with the other — building foundational two-handed skills needed for writing, dressing, and daily tasks.
• Boosts Fine Motor Strength & Precision: Pinching, grasping, cutting, attaching, and placing each piece helps develop finger strength, hand stability, and refined motor control.
• OT-Designed Learning Tool: Created by pediatric occupational therapy professionals to support developmental milestones for preschool- and kindergarten-aged children.
• Complete Skill-Building Set: Includes magnetic cactus pieces, colorful buds, matching sorting bowls, pruning tongs.
• Perfect for Home, Classroom, or Therapy: Encourages purposeful play, creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on motor development.
